Agrifirm Brazil received Integrity Seal recognition from the Ministry of Agriculture for the second year.
Introduction
Agrifirm Brazil received Integrity Seal recognition from the Ministry of Agriculture for the second year. The certificate represents the recognition of the official body in the application of social responsibility, sustainability and ethics actions at all levels of its operations.

For the second consecutive year, Agrifirm Brazil, was recognized by the highest national agribusiness body, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA), and recertified with the 2022/2023 More Integrity Seal. The award ceremony took place on February 14th, at the Apex-Brasil auditorium in Brasília (DF), awarding 27 companies in the sector, 11 of which with the Green Seal intended for companies awarded for the first time and 16 with the Yellow, seal which represents the renewal of the certificate.
“This recertification of Agrifirm, for the second consecutive year, reaffirms our commitment and the search for the continuous improvement of processes in accordance with ESG (environmental, Social and Governance) practices, an increasingly widespread and necessary theme in the corporate world that connects sustainable practices to environmental, social and governance issues. Topics that are in line with our values and the way we conduct our operations in Brazil and other countries where we maintain a presence”, emphasizes the Financial Director of Agrifirm LATAM, Edson Hanauer, who represented the company at the award ceremony.
The More Integrity Seal was created by MAPA with the aim of engaging agribusiness companies to connect their operations within the 17 objectives defined by the United Nations (UN) in the Global Compact in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.
To receive the More Integrity Seal, the 27 companies in the 2022/2023 edition had to prove they had a compliance program, code of ethics and conduct, effective reporting channels, actions focused on social and environmental responsibility, in addition to training aimed at improving of the organizational culture.
Also, to be a recognized company, it is necessary to be up to date with labor obligations, not to have fines related to the subject in the last two years, not to have cases of adulteration/falsification of processes or products inspected by the Secretariat of Agricultural Defense (SDA /MAPA), apply actions of good agricultural practices framed in the Sustainable Development goals of the United Nations and not have committed environmental crimes in the last 24 months.
This recognition also considers aspects such as the concern with protecting the health and well-being of animals, the quality and hygienic-sanitary safety of food and other agricultural products, suitability of inputs and services used in agriculture.
