Sticky Mix

A sticky substance to make the small particles such as meal and minerals adhere to the coarser particles in mixed rations. This is the innovative product called Sticky Mix. In this way it helps reduce sorting in the ration and is therefore the basis for a uniform and efficient dairy herd.

Sticky Mix is a fine meal product that can be used in mixed rations. Sticky Mix in combination with water makes the various feed components sticky so that they stick together better. This can be seen in the shaker box results: a practical study shows that the ration contains fewer fine particles when Sticky Mix is added.

It means that cows are not able to sort as easily and nutrient uptake is more constant. This results in greater uniformity in manure consistency, urea in the milk and condition score of the herd. The advantage of Sticky Mix is that it adheres to be particles better as compared to the addition of just water to the ration. Sticky Mix is a welcome additive – particularly in hot weather, when water evaporates quickly and makes the ration sensitive to fermentation heat.
